During an interview about the release of their seventh full length album Shadows in the Light, Immolation guitarist Robert Vigna described the new album as: “It’s aggressive, emotional and haunting”. He also says that it delivers all of the band’s qualities due to it being “catchy as hell, very direct and to the point”.

Death metal is a specific sub-category of metal where almost every band sounds the same and originality is a trait that is hard to come across. Already considered veterans of the game, New York based band Immolation never had a problem with setting themselves apart from the pack. Their seventh full length album entitled Shadows in the Light is no exception.
