Swedish band Katatonia will return to the metal scene to headline their first American tour this fall. The 19-stop tour will kick off on the 4th of September in Virginia and will end on the 26th of September in Texas.

The tour is actually in support of Katatonia’s first live album Live Consternation that will be released in America on the 5th of June. The record includes songs from the band’s 2006 album and a few choice records from their entire catalog. Joining Katatonia on tour is an all European line up with fellow Swede’s Scar Symmetry and two of Finland’s finest, Insomnium and Swallow the Sun.

This is actually Scar Symmetry’s second North American tour in support of their 2006 album while Insomnium will be making their debut in support of their current album. Swallow the Sun will also be touring America for the first time and also in support of their third album.
