Heavier Than Hell! <<<
One of the very first ever together doom metal bands that was created in the late seventies is known as Saint Vitus. It was previously called Tyrant. Scott Reagers was the main vocalist. You then have David Chandler on regular guitar, Mark Adams on bass, and Armando Costa on drums. Soon after coming together, they decided to change the name of the band to Saint Vitus. They were mainly influenced by Black Sabbath. The group would find that staying together would be hard. They would eventually split apart after sixteen years and three vocalists.
With the group of artists listed above, they recorded two doom metal records. The first was Saint Vitus and the second was Hallow’s Victim. They also created and EP that was called The Walking Dead. After the band finished The Walking Dead, Scott Reagers decided to leave the band, and was replaced by Scott Weinrich. He recorded three studio albums, one live album. and an EP. He decided, in 1991, that it was time to leave. He left to go out and do some of the older songs from Obsessed that were being redone.
The band would go one to do many remakes of some of the older songs they have recorded. Some of the artists that worked together on the many different albums would work on separate parts of older songs. Christian Lindersson came in to record COD withthe group and replaceScott Weinrich on vocals. He only did the one album with the group. The last album, Nightfall, was vocalized by Scott Reagers when he returned for one last recording. The group made it to 1995 before they split. It was sixteen years after they first joined together. They did have a reunion in 2003. No others are planned.
